So important to possess the character of Prophet Muhammad PBUH,why? When we possess and understand the good character like Siddiq or Truthful,Amanah or Trustful,Tabligh or Spreading Faith or Best Practices and Fatanah or Wisdom then we Build a Culture of Excelllence in our People,Organisation and Products & Services.

Ramli heard and read about the recent Big Problem faced in South Korea about the reportedly loss of stolen customer credit card datas by one of the staff of the Credit Card company where an estimated 20 million customers data are now exposed to danger of cheating, misused or wrongful withdrawals of their savings and all the bad things can happen when other unauthorised people or organisation used these datas for their selfish or mischiefs!
Why can this tragic accident happened in a technology savvy country like South Korea?
Is it about Technology problem, system problem or people problem?
This similar incident can happen elsewhere also like Malaysia if we do not become conscious or take careful measures to monitor all our customers datas. When come in possession to the wrong hands and minds then all these supposedly secrets of the customers can be put to harm at the worst kinds.
Ramli is sure now South Korean are doing their utmost best to resolve these problems since millions of custoemer are now rushing to their banks to cancel their cards services as a safe measure of protection from possible frauds. So,when this happen definitely the Top Management of the Credit Card companies are panicked and deeply worried.
Some Top Managemnt involved also willingly offered their resignation as to bring confidence to the customers and financial status of the banks or credit cards companies involved.
So,how best to tackle the problem based on the People side issues.Ramli think building a Culture of Good People with honesty, reliability, trustful, responsible, hard working and many more good traits is the Job of Management.
Excerpts from the NET:
Credit card details on 20 million South Koreans stolen
The bosses of the three credit card companies that lost data made a public apology
Credit card details from almost half of all South Koreans have been stolen and sold to marketing firms.
The data was stolen by a computer contractor working for a company called the Korea Credit Bureau that produces credit scores.
The names, social security numbers and credit card details of 20 million South Koreans were copied by the IT worker.
The scale of the theft became apparent after the contractor at the centre of the breach was arrested.
Unprotected data
Managers at the marketing firms which allegedly bought the data were also arrested.
Early reports suggest that the contractor got hold of the giant trove of data thanks to the access Korea Credit Bureau enjoys to databases run by three big South Korean credit card firms. The contractor stole the data by copying it to a USB stick.
Regulators are now looking into security measures at the three firms – KB Kookmin Card, Lotte Card, and NH Nonghyup Card – to ensure data stays safe. A task force has been set up to investigate the impact of the theft.
The three bosses of the credit card firms involved made a public apology for the breach.
In a statement the Financial Services Commission, Korea’s national financial regulator, said: “The credit card firms will cover any financial losses caused to their customers due to the latest accident.”
Another official at the FSC said the data was easy to steal because it was unencrypted and the credit card firms did not know it had been copied until investigators told them about the theft.
This theft of consumer data is just the latest to hit South Korea. In 2012, two hackers were arrested for getting hold of the details of 8.7 million subscribers to KT Mobile. Also, in 2011, details of more than 35 million accounts of South Korean social network Cyworld were exposed in an attack.

HONG KONG (CNNMoney)
The personal data of 20 million South Koreans — or 40% of the country’s population — has been stolen, sparking outrage as worried consumers scramble to replace compromised credit cards.
Customer details appear to have been swiped by a worker at the Korea Credit Bureau, a company that offers risk management and fraud detection services.
The worker, who had access to various databases at the firm, is alleged to have secretly copied data onto an external drive over the course of a year and a half.
Clients of three Korean companies — KB Kookmin Bank, Lotte Card and Nonghyup Bank — were hardest hit by the data theft. Crucial personal data like identification numbers, addresses and credit card numbers were all stolen.
The Korean government has launched an investigation into the matter. The country’s financial regulators said in a statement that the “relevant credit card companies will compensate for any financial loss caused by the latest incident.”
Since the data theft, about half a million customers have applied to have new credit cards issued, the companies told CNN.

The data theft follows a massive security breach at Target (TGT, Fortune 500) that impacted up to 100 million customers in the United States. Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus has said that it, too, was breached.
Target’s massive breach was due to malware on point of sale systems, while the Korean banks were compromised by a third-party worker, facts that underscore the wide variety of threats facing consumers.

Behind your stolen credit card
Executives at the three Korean firms have issued a public apology, and top-level managers at each firm have offered their resignations.
Nonghyup Bank told CNN it had accepted the resignation of Nonghyup Card CEO Sohn Kyoung-ik. The other two firms said they have not yet decided whether to retain their leaders.

With the above news reports certainly people are worried. What to do then?
Lets study on the People issue.
Firstly like in a Bank or any place where you need Top Security or Reliability then Honest People must be made available at all times. How to Build a Honest Culture in our People?
There are many kinds of induction training or onboarding exercises by companies to ensure their staff are well trained with the Right Atttitude,Right Skills and Right Knowledge.

Doing Business The RighT Way like what one of the Panels in the Davos Economic Forum 2014 are discussing clearly shows the need to possess trustful employees who can continually assure the security of the company operations and not suddenly face great mishaps or wrong doings by wrong behaviours of their people.

Inhouse training or External training to employees are made but are we designing the Right Modules that will finally Build the Right Candidate for that Important Job?
Like in the South Korean case maybe that employee that stole the datas was not honest, not reliable, crooked mind and heart and not loyal to his/her company. Why?
Many people faced similar problems but when they act with extremity then great problems arised just like the above case.
So we need to really select the best ways or right teaching for our people. What are they?
Ramli being a Muslim by birth feels the example of the Prophet Muhmmad PBUH is the Best Ways. Why?
The Prophet Muhammad PBUH possess the 4 main character ie.
• Siddiq or Truthful
• Amanah or Trustful
• Tabligh or Spreading faith or Best Practices
• Fatanah or Wisdom
These 4 traits or character can help Produce the Right People for Building the Right Culture for the Excellent Company.
We don’t need to focus on so many kinds of qualities a person need to posess and live by just the 4 above is good enough to make our company Reliable,Dynamic and Excellent.
How to achieve these 4 main characters?
Ramli to explained more in the next issue of this same Topic …Inshallah…

Now in this few months of april, may and maybe june also-many Malaysians get “money surprises” and their wallets are being filled with “maybe” election money pledges and everyone is happy-but until when?

When the bag of money is plenty or fulled we can give out money or make money pledges but when these bags become empty then all these money flows will suddenly stopped and the Rakyat will be caught and live in hardships because they only weree taught of getting fish from some people but not learn to catch fish in lakes, rivers or seas so they can eat all the time!

Sure, its good to have money or lots of money to some (greedy ones) but where does these money come from?

Lets be real, pragmatic and think of Malaysia’s future more than all these quick gains or trends of giving out easy money!By the way, whose money are these?surely its the govt money and if they are used improperly, extravagantly and with poor planning then after the 13MGE we will face more debt crisis and live in hardships or worst still Malaysia will become a bankrupt country with lots of politicians but no improvement and better economy of Malaysia.Gaya ada tapi kerja tiada dan duit tiada?

Lets study and be wise always….
