Do you realized that World Class Companies have this Policy that among others “any food that are not eaten or consumed at their F&B Outlets like Restaurants,Buffets,Functions,Events will or must be THROWN INTO THE DUSTBINS,Why we allow or tolerate this wastefulness?

Many reaons are given like:

  • Its company policy
  • we only want FRESH food to be seryved at all times to our guests or customers
  • we do not want our staff to bring back our hotel food back home and may cause dishonour to others by way of hotel left over food also consume by outsiders
  • we want to keep our Brands or reputation intact and do not allow for reseller at any levels or locations
  • and many other “stupid”reasons or “just cannot understand” reasons as far as Ramli is concerned….

So,whats the Big Deal or Problem actually?

At times hotel unconsumed food due to accesses or not consumed well by Guests will become Big Wasters and just plain wastes of the worst kind!

Like in some Fast Food Companies if their doughnuts are not consumed by end of the day the F&B Outlet Manager must discard the unconsumed doughnuts to the dustbins and do not allow any staff to take away or bring back home. Why they practised like that day in day out everyday?many people are still poor and they surely can consumed those left over food and still consider to be eatable and good to eat!

Even unconsumed Roast Chicken can be dumped into the dustbins if they are not sold or consumed when business hours end.Can you name such organisatiions that you have relazed practise this kind of Food Keeping Policy?

So what can we do to make our Living more Realistic,Ideal,Fair,Justice,Tolerable and Non Wasters?

Sure we can!We need to revisit these Unkind Policies and Become more humane and Good Citizens to the World not as it is but the way it should be like or practised with RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR.

Hotels and Fast Food Companies as part of the CSR Movement MUST Meet Welfare Homes,Old Folks,Poor Communities so that a System of Handover of Unused or Unconsumed Food & Drinks can be rightly or fairly distributed or handed over to them as and when available even if its an everyday affair! Can we do it?

So many more things to thnk and do on this matter of importance and urgency. The Faster and Rightly we act the more we SAVE and not become BIG WASTERS or do discredit to our Food and Drinks where others or those in need can consumed well and with great satisfaction!

Lets see if we can change all these Negative Ways to More Positive Ways of Living and Doing Business the Right Way that Allah SWT or God Almighty expects from us all human beings….

Have a Great Positive Life!

To make good sales nowadays is so difficult when the world’s economy and corporate performance look bad and poor recovery. There is so much negative indications as to positive growth around the world. If companies dont act quickly and wisely they soon will faced poor performance and have negative growths and worst lose money and may even be wiped out of the corporate map!

What to do now?

usually its best to start a cost savings project by eliminating wastages or errors. The more errors we make the more we lose and not good for our business performance.Dr.Philip Crosby and Dr.JM Juran, both Gurus of Quality once stated that the Cost of Poor Quality(COPQ)can be like 20% of our Sales Volume. The bigger your company the more COPQ in amount of USD or Ringgit will be felt. How to reduce COPQ?

Only by project by project approaches will be best applied to help eliminate wastes and improve business performance.People are encouraged to work my teams approach and by identifying cost savings projects can a company hope for reduction of COPQ and improve performance in areas of Q,C,D,S,M,E and others.

Like in the Malaysian Civil Service with a working population of 1.4 million strong and if they create teams like KIK or QCC then 1.4 million people can form almost 140,000 teams (10 members per team). With 140,000 teams or KIK registered,WOW the number of projects can easily saved millions or billions of Ringgit per year. Its all about commitment, passion for excellence and focus on the mission to make Malaysian Civil Service the best in the world!

In managing a country, company or family we  always need to identify problems, study the causes, take actions and hold the gains (so do not repeat the problem again.)

We need problem solving skills and breakthrough mindset.

We need a project by project approach in managing all these matters. We need a dedicated team to focus and take responsibility to solve the problem/s.

All this things are taught by companies either by the Managers or Consultants hired to help them.

In Malaysia especially in Klang Valley or the new focus of Greater KL,there seem to be no Best Solution yet to end the Traffic Jams madness and escalation?

Millions of commuters in cars or public transports like buses or trains are caught in this traffic jams and if you add these time wasted of all people involved it can totalled up to millions of hours everyday and if you multiply by wastes of time in Ringgit it can become Billions of RM ?

How many billions of RM do we lose due to these nagging problems eversince Ramli lived in Shah Alam 26 years ago till today?

The MRT solution is still underway underconstruction and underperformed till now and the NKRA for Public Transportation is still in progress and yet having a clear definite solution or action?

Millions of people get annoyed, frustrated and disappointed with the flow of actions to get this Traffc Jams solved once for all!

The sale of cars is always aiming for the peak like 500,000 cars a year and the finance companies are giving out car loans at even ZERO deposit payment and you can drive your new car?Roads and highways are being built rampantly that you at times do not know that these highways existed until you start paying the TOLLS?

So we keep on WASTING OUR PRODUCTIVE AND QUALITY time everyday till some get immune and say “thats life in KL”?

No,thats not KL life or quality living! We need to solve these massive traffic jams and get our priorities right and meet our mission. We need to spend minimal time on the roads and spend maximum time on our work and produce results!

We need to achieve all our KPIs and GTP and ETP but if we are not working right and in our cars or trains and buses wasting our time than we will not achieve all these grand goals and targets just dreaming and more dreams!

Lets eliminate all the wastes of waitings or traffic jams and get our time savers working right all the time.

Salam to all Malaysians!

Today (25thJuly,2011) Ramli just read the Sinar Harian newspaper especially the Front Page or Headline news where the SPR study have shown that using the Biometric System can enable to deter voting twice rather than the use of the permanent ink system for the elections!

Why need all these extra precautions when we should be performing or doing our work or action with an attitude of Right The First Time meaning we do things the right way or natural way no need many checkings, precautions or “i dont trust you” situations!

When we have an environment of mistrust,no confidence or “i dont believe you” type then everything we do need roadblocks, checkings and more checkings.Like what SPR are doing they want to ensure the voting are done with great honesty,no cheating or foul plays. When you have people who dont trust each other then everything SPR does are not right and need scrutiny to the extent of assessing the election process to the “nitty gritty” stuff so that no wrong doings or election “cheatings” are happening!Because Malaysians behave such Negative ways it is normal that all these appraisal costs are incurred and that means more loss of money due to all the checking processes involved where equipment, system, people, training&education, other resources need to be provided and that involved lots of RM and SPR have to get such money to pay for all that expenses.IF ONLY MALAYSIANS ARE HONEST PEOPLE then NO Need all these extra costs just doing what is natural ie.go to the voting station, show your IC and Vote Your Candidate!Thats simple, right? However like in Malaysia what can be so simple is made to become so complicated and wastes of public funds..really…

Many examples like:

  • roads are always being repaired for all kinds of reasons when those in charge must ensure they think and plan well ahead and not bring chaos to traffic with all the jams and time delays
  • public toilets are always broken, dirty and unhealthy to visit due to no civic conciousness and also poor maintenance management by the Local Authorities. The Public also have this vandalism mentality for many “donkey” years
  • Public Telephones are better not build at all since almost 9/10 are unusable or badly maintained.YOU cannot even dial a “999” emergency call!
  • Drivers are more reprimanded by Police for holding their mobilephone while driving rather than those driving recklessly like lorries and buses on the roads which danger more people!
  • Food & Drink are sold at “crazy” prices when they can be sold at economic or reasonable prices! These are at pasar malam and food courts!Imagine a cup of soyabean or sirap drink now costs RM1.20 – rm1.50 per cup with lots of ice and less jus…Ramli think the actual cost of that drink is only less than 20 sen!
  • As far as Top Leaders and Senior Govt Servants they waste and waste a lot of public funds on their more than needed travels both domestic and overseas with a ROI under performance level. They travel not because they must but because they want…maybe..God Knows!
  • Lots of wastes are created when we implement projects with Great Bang but with Poor Results or No Results at all….
  • Our Malaysian Culture is not a Great Cuture yet to the eyes of the world but seem to be deteriorating with more crimes, indiscipline, corruptions, greed, poor performance, gangsterism, drugs, prostitution, gamblings etc etc..
  • Malaysian Politics is more of hatred, back biting, nonsense mgmt styles, wastes and no passion to work together for a Greater Malaysia. It is more of “when I can be in Power” type….Power means a chance to make money not a chance to serve the Rakyat well and with missions accomplished.
  • The quantity of GOOD LEADERS,HONEST,SINCERE is getting lesser everyday and thats BAD FOR MALAYSIA’S FUTURE..what to do,then?
These are some little examples of wastes we created in Malaysia and if we ignore all these small wastes soon they become bigger and later become so big that can even destroy Malaysia’s economy, peace, harmony, future and hope!
Malaysia yes must transform not so much in the govt as like GTP or economy just like ETP but PEOPLE MINDS AND ACTIONS where a People Transformation Program is much needed to move them from a 3rd Class Mentality to 1st Class levels…Inshallah..

Do YOU know by factual accounts the amount of Ringgit we waste every year, month, days and hour?

All the errors we make as Leaders of the Country and States plus as Top Management of Companies big or small is a CRIME TO THE RAKYAT AND WASTES OF PUBLIC FUNDS.

When we make errors we make many bad outcomes and errors mean wastes of time, people efforts, resources of all kinds like materials, money, opportunities and so many actually to list here..we need a Lab style of meeting to think, study, analyse, recommend and act to this Project for Wastes Elimination Transformation Programme or  WETP just like GTP and ETP!Remember GTP and ETP can also become wastes to Malaysia if not thought of rightly, sincerely and act accordingly to get the Big Fast Results and the Final Outcome of 2020!

So wastes is a good study for all Leaders and Top Management and when we study rightly and with serious passion, commitment and willing to act rightly we can SAVE LOTS OF PUBLIC FUNDS OR CAPITAL THAT WE HAVE,BORROWED OR SEEK FROM MANY SOURCES.In times of financial crisis we know its hard to  invite Foreign Direct Investments to the country and also companies having tough times to sell their product or services BUT we always hear the government and companies are “spending like mad” for activities or projects better left untouched or just eliminate due to wastes of money, time and people’s efforts.

What then are the GREAT WASTES OF THE GOVT AND COs’?

This is a lengthy subject for discussion but Ramli will just list a few projects or activities that have caused lots of wastes (money loss) and time and even tarnish Malaysia’s image as a Great Country and having many positive personalities that help build Malaysia and eliminate wasteful projects!

Before that its important to understand the kind or category of wastes that we created and this is best to refer to the industry methodology of studying wastes by what Gurus like Juran and Crosby have highlighted to Top Management and they are the COPQ ie Cost of Poor Quality (include Leadership and Mgmt poor decisions)

1.Failure Costs both Internal and External where due to our bad decisions we make errors and wastes are created internally and also externally. This are “gone case” where we really have created wastes and lots of money is lost!External failure costs is worst because we even tarnished our country’s name and co’s name. This also caused market claims from customers and anyone effected by our mistakes.

2.Appraisal costs are wastes that we created because we dont believe in our System so we create special departments or people to always do checking or inspection so that our projects or orders are checked and maintained for results. All these checking or safe guarding are wastes since we now need to spend lots of money to perform all these checking or appraisals.

3.Preventive costs are all those efforts we do to try to make our projects or decisions Right the First Time and these maybe the least costs incurred by the Govt or Cos concerned. Here we try to train our people to know what to do rightly and correctly with minimum errors or failures.By doing many of this kind of preventive actions we hope to get the Best Outcomes and like our many projects towards 2020,we hope we achieve all of them or some of them.It will be a nightmare if we dont achieve any of them!

Ramli in his many years in the corporate sector like with Matsushita and Affin Bank have realised the weakness in Mgmt to create this great study and passion on COPQ.So,when there is no serious leadership, thoughts and actions to realize the importance of COPQ,we continually make errors all the time and Top Mgmt errors can costs the company a “bomb” where millions of RM are lost and no way of recovering them.

At the Global fronts, there are also companies and even govts who have made grave errors and lost Billlions of USD of Public Funds and Shareholders money and turn their companies Bankrupts and even countries!

OK,the list of Govt Leadership and Top Mgmt at Cos’ errors and wastes of the highest degree are like:

    • People still live in hardships and the poverty levels is still BAD for the majority of the population while maybe 10-20% of the population controls 80-90% of the country’s wealth!
    • Leaders just talk and make promises BUT nothing is actually delivered in full or ontime as promised in the election period!
    • Wastes are created everywhere all the time like too many official visits like 4 times a week both domestic and overseas  with no real reason and results.Just jalan jalan and suka suka.Better stay in the office by talking and listening to staff ideas and feedbacks for improvements. We need quality time for quality results and eliminate all the COPQ.
    • What is Budgeted and Executed are questionable in terms of ROI and wastes generated and costs saved. This need careful and more study!
    • Top Mgmt demand “exorbitant salaries” nowadays in Malaysia BUT with their short contract tenure of 2-3 years and possible extension, they tend to produce “as what they can” and not go for long term based and quantum or gigantic business results and seem like Touch N Go styles of management where there is No Good Corp Culture being developed, talent management being look after and many more long term based projects. This is just creatimg lost opportunities to become Global Champions or Regional Champion companies due to this TnG style of management practise and very soon the same CEO is found managing another GLC or PLCs again starting the same nonsense mgmt styles…
    • The events of mass destructions if there are street riots or demonstrations can be VERY HARMFUL AND LOTS OF WASTES can be created if the “foolish people” start damaging public properties like govt offices, hospitals, roads, trains, buses and police vehicles etc….this are the Rakyat assets and by damaging these public properties we may prove a point in our demos but it only hurt more when we lose lots of money and need to rebuild those destroyed or left without one like schools, offices or hospitals and we suffer the bad times….
    • PEACE,UNDERSTANDING,COOPERATION are all very important to not allow our foolishness, nonsense or bad personalities to happen and by upholding these good values we help make Malaysia BETTER,HAPPIER,PROSPER,ELIMINATE GREAT WASTES,BUILD GREAT TALENTS AND MANY MORE…
In summary for this brief article,Ramli hoped we think seriously of eliminating all these wasteful ways or actions that both Govt Leaders,Top Mgmt of Companies and people like you and me have done or committed everyday or sometimes.
We need to follow the ways or leadership shown by Prophet Muhammad pbuh and his Pious Caliphs where the Prophet pbuh have always shown the rightful ways of living by not making wastes and try our very best to save everything that Allah SWT have bestowed and grant to humans to satisfy their living needs and pleasures. The examples of the ways of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh is so great and honourable that really teach us the importance of not creating wastes at all and teach others the same since the new generations must also possess these noble values or way of living rightly and properly.
The world’s food supply and natural resources are getting less and less and if we do not save them or utilise correctly with good sustainable mgmt styles rather than all the nonsense styles of mgmt then our future generations can hope for a better, greater and happier future ahead.
Pursue or passion for KNOWLEDGE is not waste but KNOWLEDGE IF NOT MADE TO BE USE AND GET RESULTS IS WASTE!

Some facts on COPQ made available at Wikipedia:

    Cost of poor quality

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cost of poor quality (COPQ) or poor quality costs (PQC), are defined as costs that would disappear if systems, processes, and products were perfect. in his 1987 book Poor Quality Costs.[1] COPQ is a refinement of the concept of quality costs. In the 1960s, IBM undertook an effort to study its own quality costs and tailored the concept for its own use.[2]. While Feigenbaum’s term “quality costs” is technically accurate,

COPQ was popularized by IBM quality expert H. James Harrington it’s easy for the uninitiated to jump to the conclusion that better quality products cost more to produce. Harrington adopted the name “poor quality costs” to emphasize the belief that investment in detection and prevention of product failures is more than offset by the savings in reductions in product failures.

COPQ decomposes COPQ into the following elements:

    Cost

    Description

    Direct poor-quality costs

    • Controllable poor-quality cost
      • Prevention cost
      • Appraisal cost
    • Resultant poor-quality cost
      • Internal error cost
      • External error cost
    • Equipment poor-quality cost
Direct COPQ can be directly derived from entries in the company ledger.[3]

    • Controllable COPQ is directly controllable costs to ensure that only acceptable products and services reach the customer.[4]
    • Resultant COPQ are costs incurred because unacceptable products and services were delivered to the customer, resulting from earlier decisions about how much to invest in controllable COPQ.[5]
    • Equipment COPQ are costs to invest in equipment to measure, accept, or control a product or service[6]. It is treated separately from controllable costs to accommodate the effects of depreciation.
    Indirect poor-quality costs

    • Customer-incurred cost
    • Customer-dissatisfaction cost
    • Loss-of-reputation cost
Indirect COPQ is difficult to measure because it is a delayed result of time, effort, and financial costs incurred by the customer. These customer costs add up to lost sales and therefore do not appear in the company’s ledger.[7]

The damages of poor quality augment as the inception point is farther down the supply chain:
TCFP [Total Cost of Faulty Part] =
    Direct Cost (manufacturing cost)
➔ failure at supplier’s site (bad)
+ Labor Cost (assembly and testing)
+ Overhead Cost (Inventory, handling, shipping costs)
+ Scrapping Cost (of part and attached parts assemblies: Sometimes assemblies cannot be disassembled and have to be scrapped altogether)
+ Rework (applying a new part instead)
➔ failure at manufacturer’s site (worse)
+ Repair / Recall Costs (these are costs associated with repairing or replacing a new part / assembly under warranty)
+ Product Liability Costs (These are costs resulting from damages caused by the faulty part to 3rd parties)
➔ failure at customers’ site (worst)

Ramli have actually written on this waste elimination subject in his earlier postings in this blog and still feel this subject need to be seriously dealt with as Malaysia is really experiencing lots of wastes coming from bad decisions at Govt,Corporate and Rakyat levels. What are they?

At the Govt levels, the Top Leaders are to be blamed since their decisions have effected many people and many decisions have also become “bad” and did not produce the results as expected. The decisions to invest or appoint Top Mgmt for Govt Agencies have at times become bad and these corrupt leaders have effected billions of RM to be lost and can never be recovered again! There are also decisions made where our investments turn “sour” and no OUTCOME are realized just wasted efforts, time, resources and opportunities better spent elsewhere!

The study of eliminating waste is serious business, why? When we study all these Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) we realized the importance to think, plan and act well plus our monitoring system. When we have done our PDCA well we can at least reduce or even eliminate the chances of errors happening! We make many errors everyday and some errors we do not know that we have made it,why?

Errors are a result of many reasons and the most important of all is our mistakes due to reasons like did not understand the subject or situation well or errors made due to poor judgement and no detailed planning. In quality we called it making quality at the design stage where we think quality right from the start of our product initial stage not when the product is almost completed and need final inspection.Like in the manufacturing of cars like Proton or Perodua, they need to ensure quality is important at the early stages and not ensuring quality at the final inspection stages!Thats dangerous thinking actually.

When we want to produce a ZD Car we must ensure all throughout the supply chain knows what is Zero Defect! The many vendors of Proton or Perodua MUST guarantee a ZD status of their products before supply to their Main Customer! So that means quality input will result in quality output!

Many people think quality is the Quality Manager’s job and others have only secondary responsibility! This is wrong and everyone is responsible for quality of their products and services.

When we have almost 28 million Malaysians and if everyone of us think quality is important then the whole country can realistically become a Quality Nation and that also means quality output and minimal errors or defects. When we work or do it right first time (DIRFT) we will produce error free work or actions!Errors caused wastage and wastage in terms of time, lost opportunities, wasted resources like manpower used and raw materials used can be curtailed and put to better use.We need to work rightly  and producing what we have planned for and not making mistakes and piling up lots of wastages in the dust bins ready to throw as wastes or recycle for recovering what we can again.

Every hour Malaysia will lose millions of RM as a  result of poor decisions, poor conditions and errors made! Our Klang Valley transportation woes or problems also caused lost of thousands of hours of productivite time for all commuters when they should be quick to their destination but with all the “crazy” jams around KV,people get caught in the traffic and this situation seems to go on day after day, week after week, month after month and worst of all year after year without SERIOUS determination to STOP THE PROBLEM.

WASTE is so important to stop especially when a country or company find so difficult to make profits by sales or new product or service introduction. So,all the efforts to use the “head” to stop all wastes in our location is the best thing or action to take. When we do it right the first time we reduce or eliminate to call our people via telephone or memos or sms about our meeting dates or to attend a training programme scheduled in the month or quarterly scheduled. All these extra work of trying to make it right are WASTES!This must be curtailed or best STOP.

There are many ways to eliminate waste and among them are understanding the 7 sins of MUDA..Ramli will write on this subject later in this BLOG..so watch out for the next posting….

For enquiries or training contact Ramli at 019-2537165 or emailed at ramlipromoter@yahoo.com

The need for change is always important in a country like Malaysia because as they say the only thing that is constant is CHANGE!

However the “new things” or ideas made like a new establishment,a new methodology, a new guide,a new way of doing things and all that is new seem to leave a lot of question marks? Why?

These are what the modern world now called Management Fads! These are ideas created with such WOWs and then disappear from the Corporate Map as fast they appeared earlier on!Why?

These new management fads just cannot exist anymore or stand the test of time due to being a copy of some older ones and actually the originator have not be honest enough to tell the world that he/she/they copied from some old management tool/s to now tell the world they have a new tool!

Ramli have been taught and practice Total Quality Management ever since he started work with Matsushita in 1976 in Sg.Way FTZ,Malaysia. From these early days Ramli learned about the fundamentals or basic of TQM@TQC@CWQC.Here we learn about the important role of Top Mgmt,Middle Mgmt and Employees as to how to make a Quality Product or Service through Quality People and Company. We learm about all the Basics of Quality,Quality Control and Quality Assurance. We also learn about the importance of Team Work,Projects,Tools&Techniques and many others.

We learn about Gurus of Quality like Deming,Juran,Crosby,Ishikawa,Imai and also Mgmt Gurus like Drucker,Matsushita,Henry Ford.We also learn from Business Leaders like Walton,Welch,Morita,Honda and many others including Gates,Packard and others.

The problem of new management ideas are being developed or “coined up” by Academia Experts and not so from Business Leaders and thats where the real deal is realized. How can people in air conditioned rooms or inhouse locations tell the whole world that their ideas are workable when there is no “hands on” or gemba(at site) situations? You cannot tell the world to cook delicious steaks if you describe or teach from reading books only but it will be better if you are a chef that have cooked many times the steaks concerned and you know whats its like to have a steak cooked with medium rare or just fully cooked! The tastes are different depending on the customer requirements!

Crosby will never agree with all these 6 Sigma stuff since he was the real man propagating ZERO DEFECT in all areas of work. Why?

Zero Defect can be debated many times as to the real objective of its existence. Was it only a mind set goal or really to make it happen at all workplaces?

Zero Defect or ZD really helped the world to go for the ultimate in quality performance because like in the 4 Absolutes of Quality that Crosby profess,ZD is the standard of performance n our work.No defect at all.How can we practice 6 Sigma in the airline industry where we allow a tolerable  3 air crashes per 1 million flights. The main aim is NO Air Crashes at all for as long as we can!Air crash means lost of lives and creating lots of sorrows and hardships to all involved and that include other businesses like heart transplants, delivering babies and marraiges. We want if possible all to be ZD!

In Malaysia the “war cry” for the need of innovation and creativity in the govt sector as well as private sector is going on everyday BUT actually this so called campaign have started way back in 1983 when Tun Mahathir launched the Look East Policy where what Japan or Korea or Taiwan do,Malaysia will copy and make it better!

The start of the QCC or KMK activities involving the “sokongan” group and workers group have all emphasised the importance of suggestions@ideas and these are done through creative and innovative ways or at time known as quality improvement or breakthroughs!

QCC@KMK now more popularly known as ICC@KIK (new branding only in Malaysia) have all focus on getting improvements made via their projects usually half yearly and yearly duration. All QCC@KMK projects produced great results and stats have shown from MPC and INTAN (the coordinating bodies for private and govt sectors) the savings of many millions of Ringgit all this while!

So,no need to shout to tell Malaysians of the need of innovation and creativity when in the first place all these basic foundations are done and deleivered already since 1983 BUT was not monitored well and continual improvement made to the existing processes or system!Thats the problem!

Malaysia have so many actions or activities introduced by all the PMs in our history of 54 years of Independence BUT as a new PM comes into office or a new KSN or CEO comes into office, they too want their ideas to be implemented and “kick out” the old or former ones!

This is a sheer wastes of Public Funds and the wheel keep on rotating with no concrete results or holding the gains stuff just more actions and more waste of public  or shareholders money.

Lets FOCUS on all we have done since 1957 and all good actions or projects we maintained and improved upon and all poor results or methodologies lets stop or discard them!

The Malaysian Education System is one area we must seriously review and all these problems of “nak bahasa atau inggeris” as our medium of communication and education syllabus be studied and that have produced the best results be used and not become a “political game” for all those politicians and interested people with selfish vested interests dictate our future!

So as Ramli analysed it is all about having Malaysian Leaders and Followers with Positive Personalities ie.with Great Faith in Allah SWT (God Almighty) who will lead and manage with sincerity, honesty, passion, dedication, discipline and all because of Allah First and Me Last attitude.

The Quran and Hadiths have been in existence almost over 1400 years ago together with all the Old Kitabs since Prophet Adam a.s. and they are still relevant and MUST be adhered to since Allah SWT have informed Prophet Muhammad pbuh that Islam is already made perfect and it is just for all Muslims to abide to it all the time and without need for any revisions since Allah SWT Knoweth’s Best and HE is the Almighty and Merciful.

Lets hope Malaysia become a Great Nation with Great People (Talent) and only with prudent management and right usage of public funds and acknowledging past good or best practices rather than creating new useless ones can make Malaysia greater to greatest!

    Thank YOU.

The recent express bus accident along the Ipoh Highway with 10 deaths and many more injured really make us wonder (at least for Ramli) can we really make our Bus Journey Safe especially when our children travel all the time when they come back for the Holidays from their Universities or Schools away from Home!
LIke my eldest daughter,Nur Amirah she will travel from Kuala Trengganu to Shah Alam everytime there is a U Break for the holidays and the logical choice of travel will be by Express Bus like Trans Natoonal,Sani Express,Mutiara and many other bus express companies.
When I asked her to travel in the morning or daylight for her next trip she still likes to take the night bus bcoz its cooling, beat the traffic jams, can have a good sleep and she knows by Subuh she is already in Shah Alam. However I caution her to travel in the morning for this initial safety measures since night travelling is not yet fully guaranteed when you have bus drivers saying they fall asleep while driving and that coz the accidents like the tragic one in Ipoh recently. How can we tolerate such indiscipline and unprofessional approach towards the driving profession. Can you allow your airline pilots to say the same thing when they take off or wants to land their planes? If they are driving their ownselves then its their life at stake BUT when you have over 40 or even 300+ passengers like the aeroplane then PLEASE make sure all drivers or pilots abide to the strictest rule and discipline of making sure all passengers safety travel are at their best control.
So just to make sure these proactive and preventive mesasures to make TRAVEL SAFE,Ramli have list out some important points (for your consideration and ground and air travel cos safety measures)
Pro-Active & Preventive Measures to make travel safe with almost ZERO Accidents:
1.Drivers must be medically fit and pass the “driver’s safety checks” before allowed to drive their buses.
2.All buses must passed all safety check points based on the Safety Check List
3.Safety clearance must need multiple parties approval and cross checks eg.Driver,Administration Dept,Quality&Safety Assurance Unit Personnel
4.Safety clearance from Road Transport Dept about Today’s Weather and Road Conditions
5.Passengers being brief about what they can do if they witness any wrong doings or improper bus driving by drivers concerned. Can press the STOP BUS ALARM BUTTON if necessary along the journey
6.Install CCTV at all driver’s place to monitor driver alertness, quick response and safe driving at all times of the day
7.Stop Night Time Travel or allow Night Time Travel for only few passengers excluding children and senior citizens.
    8.and many more….
Risk Management is good but without discipline and continual improvement in our processes we can “be attack” by sudden problems and can cause great loss to lives, assets and confidence of the people to our products and services.
The airline companies have done very well with their almost ZERO air accidents in as many hundred thousands of flights they do along the year/s and that is because of the strictest measures they impose on airline safety assurance to all airline cos in the world and they do not tolerate for any such infringements or “short cut” measures for safety and quality.
The bus companies like in Malaysia must do the same and only with the strong and determine leadership shown from the Transport MInistry for all matters related to travel safety can we as passengers or commuters be assured that travel is in good safe hands and we can rest n relax in our journey from one point to another all the time.Inshallah.
In Allah SWT we trust our fate BUT all man made errors must be stopped at once and we must achieve ZERO ERRORS in all our work all the time.
